What the local contest means
The smallest reported difference is 178 votes in Area 4. This is a school board election, not the separate Lincoln City Council Districts 1 and 2 races. Each trustee area chooses one representative; additional ballots can still change margins.
Why the results are not final
Placer County Elections lists this as its election-night semi-official report, data refreshed November 4 at 12:16 a.m. Pacific. The report states all assigned election-night precincts have reported in these races. However, further eligible mailed, provisional or otherwise verified ballots may be processed in the official canvass. The counts and rankings are not certified, and no November 5 post-election tally is claimed here.
